Uh Oh..... Loud...... Handmade.....

hey guys,
being a musician who has been fortunate enough to receive critical acclaim and fan loyalty throughout my career, and am therefore contacted on a pretty regular basis by musical product companies to give me "free" things that they hope, by their generosity, i will be swayed into using on a recording or in my live rig.....
however, seeing as i am in every way against the concept of supporting any publicly traded company or corporation with my art, i almost always turn these offers down....
however, every now and then, something comes along that strikes me as a truly unique and worthwhile product that i must be involved with.....
and, that brings me to BALDERA PEDALS....
i was recently contacted by a representative of the company asking me if i would be interested in receiving a couple of their pedals (any i wanted), and, if i like them, may i would include them in my live set up? now, before i responded with my resounding and ever-ready "NO", i checked them out, seeing as i'd never heard of them before, i thought there might be a possibly that they were truly as grassroots as it seemed....

turns out, they are even more so!
the passion of Miguel Baldera, BALDERA PEDALS is truly as indie as they come.... one man, lovingly and obsessively creating handmade devices that far surpass the sonic possibilities of what can be achieved with normal, mass market guitar effects.....
i actually feel a sort of simpatico with this cat....
he's sitting there in his mad-scientist laboratory, crafting new ways to alter sound, while i sit in my laboratory, trying to find new ways to move people with my songs and the 12 notes i have to work with....
below, you'll see some photos of the pedals (notice how these things are SO HAND MADE that he even personally dedicates each one of them, and draws all of the pedal labels on with a sharpie!) NOW, THAT'S PUNK!!
i chose the "BB Booster" for obvious reasons, and because it's an awesome sonic booster, and the "Loud Box", again, for obvious reasons....

Strictly For Music Nerds

hey guys,
seeing as the band is just over two weeks away from beginning rehearsals, now's the time for me to start fine tuning all of my parts on the 20+ songs we have, and that definitely includes sounds and effects for all the music.....
so, about three weeks ago, on my personal facebook page, i publicly asked all of my friends on my wall about how to go about building a pedal board and the various methods used etc.....
after getting a ton of responses and comments from people all over the globe about their chosen methods and preferences, i digested every suggestion, and what resulted is the lean, mean, and ultra-minimal, but totally rocking board you see below:

featuring the seemingly ubiquitous line 6 delay, and the impossible-to-match boutique sounds of the baldera loud box and bb booster, this pedal board was created solely for the purpose of playing the music that you'll be hearing live form the band.....
no extra pedals, no unnecessary sounds......
just what is needed, and lots of it.....
